FULL – MOUTH ADHESIVE REHABILITATION | FRANCESCA VAILATI
8th January 2016 - 9th January 2016
The 2-day theory course on the 3 Step Technique is a highly intensive course. Participants will be immersed in an enormous amount of clinical information. More than 60 clinical cases will be presented, since the course is very clinically oriented.
1. Dental erosion: why, how, when
Who are the patients affected, how are they treated according to the literature. Debate: conventional treatment should be avoided or at least postponed (crowns versus adhesive dentistry). New concept of full mouth adhesive rehabilitation to restore patients affected by severe dental erosion.
2. The 3 Step Technique
The technique: predictable results, minimal tooth preparation, highest level of patient acceptance. Presentation of several cases of patients affected by severe dental erosion and treated following the 3 Step Technique. 5-6 year follow-up. Explanation of how to plan and execute this type of full-mouth adhesive rehabilitation.
3. The ACE classification and treatment planning
New classification for the quantification of the severity of dental destruction to guide clinicians and patients in the decision-making process. Correlation of the damage at the level of the anterior maxillary teeth to the consequent possible options of treatment. Six categories: classification parameters and its dental treatment plan suggested. Several cases of patients affected by dental erosion. Treatment plan discussed in details, with possible complications and solutions.
4. Modified 3 Step Technique and new trend. The posterior teeth
Restoration of some teeth, but not all. Presentation of clinical cases and their follow-up. Pressed ceramic restorations or CAD CAM composite restorations implementation in this new trend.
